Phyllis

This is my neighbor Phyllis. 

This portrait was taken on her 93rd birthday. 

She used to teach physical education and yoga, waaaaay before anyone in the US knew what yoga was.  She’s a world traveler.  She swims every morning at 6 am and loves it when I bring her home-baked sweets.  She grows wonderful camellias in her backyard.

She’s an excellent neighbor, and I hope to be like her when I grow up.
